UAE's whole battery trade reaches USD1.42bn


(MENAFN) The UAE total trade in primary and secondary batteries in 2015 reached USD1.442bn or 68.6 percent of which is claimed by direct trade.

Furthermore, its foreign trade in batteries increased by 12.9 percent in the cited year compared to 2014 as a result of an increase of 39.3 percent.

In addition, the battery imports amid the cited year reached almost USD838mn, whereas the exports were valued at USD95mn amid the same year.

In 2015, batteries re-exported amounted to USD489mn, while free zones" re-exported batteries reached USD145.4mn.
