Saudi Aramco to issue USD18bn in U.S. refining ops


(MENAFN) Saudi Aramco will spend an USD18bn in the coming five years to enhance its operations in the Americas, focusing on its oil refining unit in the U.S- Motiva Enterprises.

Additionally, Motiva is projected to be the main focus of its growth strategy throughout the Americans and is discovering chances to enhance refining capacity.

Meanwhile, Motiva became a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco on May 1, with the split of the oil giant's 19-year tie with Royal Dutch Shell Plc.

Furthermore, Motiva also finished an expansion of the Port Arthur Refinery"s largest hydrocracking unit and diesel hydro treater, resulting in a 30 percent increase in capacity.
