Some international media outlets are running false news against Qatar for the past few days even after senior officials denounced the news as fake.

The website of Qatar News Agency (QNA) got hacked on Wednesday and unfounded news was posted on it, falsely attributing to the Emir. The website was brought back under control after four hours.

An investigation team has been set up and is conducting investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice, he said, noting that the findings of the investigation would be revealed in a transparent manner both in terms of the investigation process and its findings.

The Foreign Minister also expressed his surprise over the attitude of some of the media outlets, which is broadcasting and commenting on this false news even after statements by QNA and government officials denouncing the news falsely attributed to the Emir.
