Oman- Yogatherapy4all group observes third International Yoga Day


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Yogatherapy4all group initiated by Prema Nagesh (yoga therapist), who has been promoting the practice of yoga for health and happiness in Oman for 20 years, recently celebrated International Yoga Day under the auspices of Embassy of India at Bank Muscat's head office in Seeb.

The programme was graced by H H Sayyid Faher bin Fatik bin al Said as the chief guest, H EIndra Mani Pandey, India's Ambassador to Oman, Dr Wahid Ali al Kharusi, president of Oman Cancer Association, along with various other dignitaries.

Nearly 250 enthusiasts spread across various nationalities, including many Omani nationals, were exposed to the nuances of yoga.

Both H E Pandey and Dr Kharusi spoke about the importance of yoga in daily life.

The event including the live demonstrations and the practice session attracted a great response as the participants understood how yoga can lead to good health and harmony in life.

All of them participated in the practical demonstration on how to keep the physical body healthy and use yoga as therapy too.

Importance was given to postures related for the back and neck, knees, diabetes and high BP and migraine. The programme was very well presented, appealing informative and useful.

Thanking everyone for being a part of an exciting evening, Prema said, 'Yoga is not just on the mat but yoga is everywhere and in every activity. Yoga involves the body and mind and the union of it along with right breathing. This leads to calmness and happiness. Good health means a healthy body and mind too.'
