Twitter's CEO apologizes over Twitter's role in Trump's win

(MENAFN) The former CEO and co-founder for Twitter, Evan Williams, had apologized for that Twitter had played a role in the election of Trump as US president.

Earlier, Trump said that Twitter planed an important role in his election, and Williams said commenting: "It's a very bad thing, Twitter's role in that."

And he added: "If it's true that he wouldn't be President if it weren't for Twitter, then yeah, I'm sorry."

However, Trump had around 30 million followers on his Twitter account and he was known as an active tweeter before he announced intentions to be nominated for elections.
