Municipal corporation reports from Delhi reveal that the city has witnessed 80 chikungunya cases and 30 dengue cases since January 2017.
Out of the 80, 9 chikungunya cases were reported this month till 22nd April.
Close to zero cases of the mosquito-borne diseases were reported same time in the last year.

Noida: Noida, Greater Noida generated 50,000 jobs last fiscal
According to Noida's industries department, Noida and Greater Noida witnessed the setting up of 6,000 industrial units in the last fiscal year, resulting in the creation of more than 50,000 jobs.
According to the data, 4,640 of the factories that were set up were petty and small industries.
These industries alone generated employment for 28,998 people.
Ghaziabad: Traders' association protests, wants removal of Dasna toll
A traders' association in Ghaziabad blocked the Dasna toll plaza and lifted its boom barriers, allowing vehicles to pass for free for over one hour.
The group is demanding removal of the Dasna toll on NH-24 to allow vehicles to move freely between Ghaziabad and Hapur.
According to them, the 10-lane toll has been operational for 15 years and has recovered all its costs.
Gurugram: Pink Town residents of DLF without water since 10 days
The 'U' Block of Pink Town Houses in DLF Phase 3 has been deprived of water supply since the last 10 days.
According to the residents, when they complained to the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), authorities inspect the pipeline, after which the supply is normal for 2-3 days, and is cut short yet again.

A scientific report prepared by the Art of Living claimed that the ecological damage faced by the Yamuna floodplains during its cultural festival last year has already been restored by nature.
This contravenes the National Green Tribunal's findings that claimed it would take at least a decade and Rs. 42 crore to restore the same.
Experts are refusing to comment on the contradictory reports.
Education: Delhi University proposes a subject on writing Facebook posts
The Delhi University is contemplating the inclusion of "how to write Facebook posts" as a part of the syllabus for English literature students.
The University wants it to be a part of a course on 'academic writing.'
The department has sent its proposal with detailed recommendations to all colleges teaching the honours course in literature, and has sought feedback.
