Mumbai Police has arrested 18 people in connection with 'One Coin', an online scam which promised people lakhs in return for an investment of Rs. 11,900. The arrest led the cops to 4 bank accounts from which Rs. 18.97crore was revived by them.
Investors were told to lure in more investors in order to multiply their money.

Business: Registration, stamp duty for start-ups buying properties may be waived
Renowned start-ups looking to buy properties will now be offered a 100% waiver on stamp duty and registration fees for the first transaction and 50% waiver on the second.
These provisions have been proposed via a draft policy currently in the public domain.
Maharashtra Government has planned a range of funding concessions and infrastructure support in its Innovation and Startup Policy draft.
Health: BMC surveys ice samples, e.coli discovered in 72%
BMC's Public Health Department surveyed ice samples served at hundreds of eateries and restaurants across the city.
The survey carried out in March and April revealed that 67% and 72% of ice samples respectively were contaminated with e.coli bacteria.
The BMC has written to Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to initiate action against vendors serving contaminated ice.
Railways: Alert motorman averts railway tragedy
On Tuesday night, the motorman of a CST-bound train halted the train between Reay Road and Dockyard Road stations after spotting an 8-foot-long iron piece on the tracks.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested two accused in the matter.
According to the GRP's investigation, the piece of iron was thrown on the tracks by two thieves.
Infrastructure: Now, a 250-metre high tower to be built mid-sea
After proposing the world's largest ropeway between Mumbai's Sewri and Elephanta island, the Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) is planning to construct a 250-metre high "city tower" mid-sea.
According to officials, the tower would provide a 360 degree view of the city, mudflats, mangroves and Flamingos in the season.
The ambitious project is expected to cost approximately Rs. 300 crore.
Details: Mumbai's harbour line to have 9-hour mega block this Sunday
The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is planning a 9-hour-long mega block on the Harbour Line between Andheri and Goregaon stations this Sunday.
The mega block will be established to extend the harbour line from Andheri to Goregaon and will last from 7am to 4pm.
Slow services on this line will be diverted to the fast track during the block.
Crime: One-time-use angio medical devices recycled by 3 hospitals
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found 3 Mumbai hospitals guilty of not only re-using medical devices meant for one use, but charging patients for the same.
Mulund's Fortis Hospital, Vashi's Hiranandani Hospital and Andheri's BSES Hospital have now been served show-cause notices for violating the Drug and Cosmetics Act.
The raid also exposed the major gap between hospital's purchasing prices and their MRPs.
