UAE participates in 9th International Youth Conference in Bahrain

DUBAI, 26th April, 2017 (WAM) -- A UAE youth delegation representing the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare is participating in the 9th International Youth Conference, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain and organised by the Bahraini Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the participation of over 1,000 young men and women from 29 countries around the world.

The conference, from 24th to 28th April, is being held under the slogan, "Give Back", which goes in line with the United Nations', UN, choice of the topic of sustainable development goals, as giving is a great humanitarian value and the main element in encouraging youth to work hard on achieving these goals, to answer present and future needs.

Fatima Al Rustamani, Head of the UAE delegation at the conference, said that their participation in such conferences and events embodies the care of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare for youth, and its constant desire to develop their aspirations and sharpen their expertise in different specialties and areas.

She added that the conference aims to highlight the UN's sustainable development goals to preserve the environment, protect water from pollution and benefit from renewable energy, representing an opportunity for the UAE's youth to meet and exchange experiences and expertise with their counterparts from other countries.

She further added that the supreme leadership of the authority desires to invest in the energies of youth and provide opportunities for them to achieve their aspirations and effectively participate in building the nation.
