(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, April 25 (KUNA) -- The 9th International Youth Conference kicked off Tuesday, themed "Give Back," and focuses on the UN sustainable development goals.
In a keynote speech, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the importance of involving youth in achieving goals of societies development as they have potentials and energies in this field.
Sheikh Nasser underlined the significance of sustainable development, which is the aim the world's leaders seeking to achieve through different means.
The event gathers youth from various countries all over the world in order to share different views, he added.
The conference is considered an important opportunity to motivate the Bahraini youth to develop their capabilities and exchange experiences with an elite of youngsters from all over the world.
It is organized by the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry under the patronage of Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. (end) mge.hm
