Winners of Qatar e-Nature Schools Contest honoured

Under the patronage of H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, the Qatar e-Nature Schools Contest 2017 concluded with the final live round and awards ceremony with the attendance of Khalifa Saad Al Derham, Director of Schools Affairs and the representative of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Sasol, the international integrated chemicals and energy company and Friends of the Environment Centre (FEC) celebrated the winners of the competition in the presence of dignitaries.
This year around 250 students, representing 43 independent schools and 41 private schools, from across Qatar participated in the fourth edition of the schools contest.
The dynamic teams, representing the five schools who qualified for the finals, competed vigorously with each other to win the competition. Elite International School won the Qatar e-Nature Schools Contest 2017 in first place, the team of three students received a voucher worth QR12,000 and a gold medal was awarded to each participant in recognition of their excellence. Al Shaqab Primary School For Girls was second runner up and the team members received a voucher worth QR9,000 and each winner was awarded a silver medal.
Al Khansaa Independent School For Girls was third runner-up and the team members received a voucher worth QR6,000 and a bronze medal was awarded to each team member.
Nord Anglia International School was fourth runner up and Abi Haneefa Model School For Boys was fifth runner up and the team members received a voucher worth QR3,000 and QR1,500 respectively.
