Qatar stock index drops 43.57 points


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 43.57 points (0.43 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 10,153.76 points Monday.

The volume of shares traded increased to 7,941,087 from 6,797,954 on Sunday and the value of shares also increased QR 216,618,890.11 from QR 153,458,022.27 on Sunday.

From the 44 companies listed on QSE, shares of 40 saw trading today. From these, 13 gained and 25 companies closed lower today, remained two companies unchanged.

Indices of one sectors ended in green and remained six sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index dropped 0.43 percent to 17,027.25 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index down 0.34 percent to 4,082.25 points and QSE All Share Index decreased 0.41 percent to 2,893.43 points. (QNA)
