(MENAFN- Arab Times) Mangaf Cooperative Society Players pose with officials after the awarding ceremony
Mangaf Cooperative Society 'Futsal' team have been crowned champions of the Second Ahmadi Governorate Cooperative Societies Futsal Championship after it defeated the team of Fahad Al-Ahmad Cooperative Society with a score of 2-0 in the finals which was held on Sunday, April 23 at the Youth Club Hall.
Present during the match and the honoring ceremony was the Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, who praised the high sportsmanship, team spirit and noble competitiveness demonstrated by the participating teams. He indicated that the championship is part of the strategic course of the developmental program titled 'My governorate is beautiful', which was launched in 2015.
The governor expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the organizers and the participating teams, as well as the sponsors of the championship. In his role, Head of the championship Hamed Al-Ibrahim expressed his delight over the success of the Second Cooperative Societies Futsal Championship, indicating that the 15 teams which participated in the championship represented the cooperative societies and high schools of Ahmadi Governorate. He added, 'This is a clear indication of the keenness and desire of all to participate and compete under ideal sports atmosphere'.
