Elect production in Morocco falls by 1.2pct in Feb

(MENAFN) Morocco's elect sector saw a decline of 1.2 percent at the end of Feb this year after a positive increase of elect production in Jan this year.

Additionally, this reduction is due to a mutual fall in production of the National Office of Elect and Drinking water by 2.3 percent and private production of 2.4 percent.

The country's trade in elect energy with Spain and Algeria increased to 11.9 percent at the end of the cited month, driven by the increase in the volume of imports of 10.9 percent.

On the other hand, the consumption of elect power rose by 0.5 percent at the end of the first two months of the year, after a 2.6 percent increase in the same period of 2016.
