France condemns deadly attack in Afghanistan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, April 24 (KUNA) -- France on Monday condemned a major deadly "terrorist" attack in Afghanistan that killed more than 100 people and wounded many others in Mazar-e-Sharif three days ago.

The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it "reaffirms its support to the Afghan authorities in the fight against terrorism and praised the courage of the Afghan forces" which were the main target of the attack.

Paris also sent a message of condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the attack which is attributed to Taliban insurgents. (end) jk.mt
