Oman's GDP market prices fall by 5.1pct


(MENAFN) Oman's GDP market prices dropped by 5.1 percent to OMR25.489.8mn last year from OMR26.850.3mn in 2015, as released the National Center for Statistics and Info.

Moreover, the fall is attributed to a decline in oil prices last year, while average price of Oman Crude was USD40.1 per barrel last year.

Meanwhile, petroleum activities slumped by 23.7 percent to OMR6.988.8mn in 2016 from OMR9.175.3mn in the previous year.

On the other hand, crude oil activities fell by 27.5 percent to OMR5.799.2mn from OMR7.999, whereas natural gas revenue fell by 2.7 percent to OMR1.189.6mn.
