Oman- Training phase of Nama Ambassadors Programme complete


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- As part of its sustainable development policy to spread its culture in the local community, the Nama Group concluded its Ambassadors Programme training phase.

The training phase is the first phase of the programme, which lasted for more than three months, with participation of 1,421 students from various educational institutions and vocational training centres in the sultanate. With a total of 10,648 training hours, 2,160 were dedicated for 360 school students from the entire sultanate; 760 university students from different colleges and universities took part with 6,080 training hours, in addition to 2,408 hours devoted to 301 students from Vocational Training and from training of fishermen institutes.

This programme is of high importance for the Nama Group, designed to acquaint students with sustainable development concepts and the importance of renewable energy resources and waste management. It also aims at teaching students appropriate behaviour and altering those that hinder development. The programme also encouraged students to work collectively and manage sustainable projects. Throughout their mission as ambassadors of development, they can spread this among peers in the society to serve the nation in the present or future.

The next phase of the Nama Ambassadors Programme will include filtering the proposals and selecting projects that will be implemented by the participants from May to September.
