(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 29 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim adjourned Wednesday's regular follow-up session until next Tuesday.
The legislators have pursued looking into the government manifesto for the 15th legislative term (2016-2017, 2019-2020) with respect of sustainable development, in accordance with Article 98 of the National Constitution.
Abovementioned provision stipulates that a cabinet, immediately after its formation, must present the parliament with its action schedule, where the lawmakers would express their remarks on it.
Earlier in today's session, the parliament approved a public prosecution request to lift immunity of MP Jamaan Al-Herbesh with respect of a media case.
Up to 28 MPs, out of 37 present ones, voted in favor of stripping MP Al-Herbesh of his parliamentary immunity. (end) hrz.rk
