(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, chairman of the State Council, received on Monday, Ismail Rustu Cirit, president of the Court of Cassation in Turkey and his accompanying delegation visiting the sultanate.
H E Dr Mantheri welcomed the guests and wished them a pleasant stay, stated a press release.
He praised the strong relations between Oman and Turkey in various fields. He said that the relation is based on mutual respect and cooperation and there is an urge to upgrade ties in line with the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries. During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual concern.
On his part, Cirit highlighted the depth of the historical and cultural relations between Turkey and Oman and praised the latter's unique growth model taking into consideration the environmental aspects and cultural development.
He said this visit will help consolidate the existing relations between the two countries. Cirit pointed out that his visit aims at forging judicial cooperation, hoping that the relations between Turkey and Oman will witness further progress and prosperity.
H E Dr Mantheri said that the visit will help boost the growing relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in the judicial field.
He added that judiciary in the sultanate enjoys full independence and receives great attention under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
He pointed out the remarkable progress witnessed by the judicial process in Oman.
