Sharjah records up to 63pct of Chinese tourists


(MENAFN) The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority aims to increase visits from China as the emirate experienced tourism from the Asian nation jump up 63 percent in 2016.

Meanwhile, the authority is hosting 15 of the main outbound Chinese travel firms from the east coast of China on a familiarization visit to Sharjah in the coming week.

Furthermore, the travel ops will be immersed in the emirate and exposed to all its facets, from shopping, to heritage and destination activities, amid their stay.

In addition, the emirate is reaping the benefits of the forward-thinking initiatives and bold projects and campaigns it had been working on all year.
