ABU DHABI, 27th March, 2017 (WAM) -- A delegation from the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, EAD, has visited "Wahat Al Karama", or Oasis of Dignity, a memorial site built to honour the UAE's martyrs. The delegation was headed by Dr. Jaber Al Jaberi, EAD's Deputy-Secretary and accompanied by executives and directors of EAD's departments and divisions.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed about Wahat Al Karama, which consists of 31 metal panels, leaning on one another, in an expression of strength, mutual support and solidarity.
Dr. Al Jaberi hailed this national and cultural landmark that immortalises the sacrifices made by the UAE's heroes and reflects UAE's gratitude to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation to keep the country free, sovereign, and proud.
"Our visit to this memorial site is to immortalise the sacrifices of our heroes who inspire us to be loyal to our homeland, to uphold its freedom and the dignity of its people," added Al Jaberi.
