Aden, 27 Jumada II, 1438 AH, 26 March, 2017 , SPA -- The GCC initiative was announced as one of three pillars to solve the Yemeni crisis and meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people for change and reform in addition to preserving the unity, security and stability of Yemen.
The GCC initiative was announced in November 2011, aiming to take Yemen out of its crisis through several steps, but the ousted Saleh with the help of Houthis led a coup against the authority and the legitimate President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and took over Sana'a and the rest of country institutions.
According to Nasr Taha Mustafa, former political writer, the next phase requires a larger Gulf political role led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that Yemen will not accept any Iranian influence into its domestic matters.
He said that the Yemeni war has reached its final stages, pointing out that more than 95% of Yemenis will not accept the domination of this racist sectarian group.
