Kuwait- Jordanian girl perishes in fall from building

KUWAIT CITY, March 23: A seven- year-old Jordanian girl died when she fell from the fourth floor of a building in Khaitan area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen rushed to the location with paramedics and took the severely-injured girl to Farwaniya Hospital but she died on arrival. Her corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and investigations have been launched concerning the incident. Meanwhile, a 16-year-old Kuwaiti citizen died and his father sustained serious injuries when a vehicle toppled on Mutla Road. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen rushed to the location with paramedics and discovered that the juvenile died while his father was alive but severely injured. Paramedics referred the father to Jahra Hospital while the corpse was referred to the Forensics Department.

'No encroachments': Emergency team at Jahra Municipality launched a campaign in Saad Al-Abdullah area to remove encroachments on state property and other construction violations, reports Al-Seyassah daily. About 45 advance notifications were issued to house owners to remove building violations. Public Relations Department at Kuwait Municipality affirmed the campaign will continue at Saad Al-Abdullah, indicating nine violations were issued against encroachments on State property, in addition to 36 groceries operating inside private houses. Necessary action will be taken against the owners.
