Uber stops self-driving car program after crash in Arizona


(MENAFN) Uber Technologies Inc. postponed its pilot program for driverless cars after a vehicle equipped with the nascent technology crashed on an Arizona roadway.

The accident was the latest involving a self-driving vehicle operated by one of several companies experimenting with autonomous vehicles and it did not cause any serious injuries.

An Uber spokeswoman said in an email: "We are continuing to look into this incident," and she added: "The vehicles collided, causing the autonomous vehicle to roll onto its side."
