Heavy Top Level Arab, International Presence Expected, during 28th Arab Summit -Jordanian Spokesman Says

Amman, Jumada II 26, 1438, Mar 25, 2017, SPA -- Jordanian Government Spokesman Mohammed Momani stressed importance of the Arab summit due to begin, in Jordan, on Wednesday.
In a press conference held at the Dead Sea Resort, in southern Jordan today, he said that the importance of this summit stems from the topics on its agenda, which include 30 items, the most important among, is the issue of peace, in the Middle East and events, in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya, in addition to Iran's occupation of the three UAE islands and Iranian interference, in the affairs of the Arab countries.
He added that the summit will be attended by the majority of Arab leaders and their representatives, US presidential envoy and another Russian envoy, in addition to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Commissioner for Foreign Affairs of the European Union, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the President of the Arab Parliament as well as the UN envoy, on the Syrian crisis.
Preparatory meetings to lay ground for the summit, have dealt with the challenges facing the Arab countries and the Syrian refugee crisis, pointing out that the danger of terrorism, extremism and how to deal with them, were discussed, indicating that Arab-Islamic countries must be at the forefront of facing terrorism, especially those acts which take place ,in the name of Islam."
On the current Arab issues and topics, Al-Momani said that the meeting of the Arab leaders and agreement on the files and challenges facing the Arab nation, is of great importance in itself, concluding by stressing that the position of Arab countries is clear on the right-out refusal to transfer the US embassy to occupied Al-Quds, as Eastern Al-Quds, is the envisioned capital of the Palestinian independent state, to be established.
