Saudi- Death toll in Peru flooding rises to 90

Lima, Jumada II 27, 1438, March 26, 2017, SPA --The death toll in the worst flooding in Peru in
decades has risen to at least 90, the National Emergency Operations
Center (COEN) said Saturday.
Some 20 people are still missing, Defence Minister Jorge Nieto said, while around 350 have been injured.
Some 29,000 houses have been destroyed or made uninhabitable and some 164,000 were damaged in the floodwaters.
Around 742,000 people have been affected by the extreme weather, many of whom have had to leave their homes.
The region has seen climate extremes since the beginning of the year, with neighbouring Chile experiencing the worst wildfires in its history following a drought.
Scientists have spoken about a "coastal El Nino, with ocean temperatures about 5 degrees Celsius warmer than normal causing heavy rains in the Andes.
