Saudi- Islamic Development Bank provides $ 31 million to Senegal

Jeddah, Jumada II 25, 1438, March 24, 2017, SPA -- President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Bandar Hajjar and Senegalese Minister of Economy, Finance and Planning and Governor of Central Bank Amadou BA signed here in Madinah today a financing agreement for Senegal worth US $ 31 million to contribute to a development project in the Sahel.
The agreement provides Senegal with services to 550,000 farmers through increasing livestock and dairy products, reducing conflicts between herders and farmers, establishing and rehabilitating artesian wells and equipping them with solar equipment, and building 20 veterinary service and inspection stations.
