Malaysia's economy expected to grow at 5 percent in 2017 - Malaysian PM


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Kuala Lumpur, March 22 (Petra)- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said that he expects the economy to improve further in 2017, with growth of up to 5 percent.

He added that the country was on course to grow between 4 and 4.5 percent this year.

The prime minister said that he would make further announcements on infrastructure, development, public transport and health, fiscal incentives for small and medium enterprises, and human capital and skills training in the 2017 budget.

He said next year's budget will also focus on raising the disposable income of the people and provide more affordable housing.
