Amman, March 21 (Petra) -- Director of the Amman Arab Summit Media Center, Director-General of Jordan News Agency (Petra), Faisal Al Shboul, on Tuesday said the center, which is set up at the Grand East Hotel at the Dead Sea area, is ready to receive media representatives accredited to cover the summit.
In a press statement issued Tuesday, Al Shboul said more than 1,500 journalists, representing various local, Arab and international media outlets, will participate in covering the summit, which will be held at the Dead Sea shores, between 23-29 of March. They were accredited by the summit's media committee.
He noted that 989 journalists and reporters, representing various local media outlets, will participate in covering this important Arab event, along with 294 Arab and 152 foreign journalists, as well as media delegations accompanying leaders and heads of delegations of countries participating in the summit.
Al Shoboul added that the summit's media center is supplied with all technical equipment that will enable journalists, correspondents and TV reporters to do their job, including the press conference hall and a work area for media professionals equipped with computers, internet services, photocopying and printing machines, broadcast signals, big screens and satellite broadcasting services.
The summit's media committee will provide transportation services by buses dedicated to accredited journalists and media arriving at Queen Alia International Airport, Al Shoboul said, pointing out that the committee will also provide transportation for media professionals accredited from Amman to the media center and returning back to Amman daily during the summit, according to a schedule that will also be announced on the summit's official website.
