(MENAFN) The Iranian deputy energy minister stated that the country's renewable energy generation capacity is estimated to hit 700-850 megawatts (MW) in the current Iranian calendar year.
Moreover, the minister also added wind and solar farms will assist by near 90% of the cited capacity.
In past month, the official posted that Iran's whole installed capacity of renewable power plants has surpassed 340 MW.
On the other hand, the deputy energy minister said supplying 5% of the country's electricity need from renewable energies is considered as a main goal for Iran's energy industry.
