(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Curry House Restaurant is a new casual dining restaurant offering the best of North Indian cuisine.
The grand opening was done under the auspices of Sushma Pandey, wife of H E Indra Mani Pandey, in the presence of several food enthusiasts. To mark the opening, a new breakfast menu has also been included starting from7am.
Set within the luxurious surroundings ofCentral Business District (CBD), Ruwi with ample parking, Curry House offers rustic, home-cooked and down-to-earth Indian food in a relaxed and family-friendly environment. The managing director has designed the menu with some special ideas shared by marketing manager Deepa Punjabi. The dishes are inspired by authentic recipes collected over the years from their friends and family in India. The result is a blend of classic and contemporary dishes.
Deepa said, 'We use authentic flavours for each of our dishes to give that wow factor. We have created our own recipe especially for the eggs, with a lovely aroma and flavour and without being overpowering. The egg dishes are prepared with special herbs and spices from India. The inspiration for the Kathi rolls dish was taken from Kolkata in West Bengal. We use specialised marinated ingredients of paneer or chicken, so both vegetarian and non-vegetarian enthusiasts will be happy.'
The restaurant has a new interior and offers a contemporary approach to the cuisine and service philosophy. For starters, diners can choose from a selection of samosas including tangy prawn and Punjabi chicken tikka. Mains include kebabs and barbecue dishes cooked to perfection in clay ovens, seafood and fish dishes from the Bengal region of India, vegetarian options, traditional home-style curries, biryani, pulao, roti, tadka dal, dal makhni and freshly baked naan breads.
The beverage menu offers a selection of Indian inspired drinks including the cutting chai, chaat cocktail, sassy lassi, saffron iced tea, fresh juices, etc.
