Morocco- Lahcen Haddad to Join Society for International Development Governing Council


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Lahcen Haddad, Minister of Tourism Rabat - Lahcen Haddad, former Minister of Tourism and member of Moroccan parliament, has been appointed as a member of the governing council for Society for International Development (SID).

Haddad was chosen due to his professional experiences as a former minister, which helped him to make Morocco one of the leading destinations in Mediterranean, African and the Middle-Eastern countries.

"I am honored to be chosen as member of the Governing Council for SID, an organisation that helps chart the tendencies and trends for international development," said Haddad.

"I am looking forward to be part of this exciting experience in which some great people from the development community are involved. It is a great honor for me to be the voice of Morocco, Africa, the Arab World and the Islamic World in this amazing international organization," he added.

The SID elects members in accordance to their values, their expertise within the developmet of community locally and internationally and their straightforward interest in the institutional future of SID.

As a member of the governing council, Haddad will provide guidance and support for the development of the society promote the establishment of new SID units and encourage existing SID chapters to help shape the future of the organization.

Formed in 1998, the SID aims to promote governance and ethics in corporate leadership.
