S. Korea's crude oil imports grow by 5.1pct


(MENAFN) S. Korea's imports of crude oil jumped to 5.1 percent in 2016 from a year earlier, as showed S. Korean government data.

Moreover, the joined inbound purchase of crude oil hit 1.78bn barrels at the end of Dec, compared with 1.26bn barrels the previous year.

Additionally, the import of petroleum products increased to 8.3 percent on-year to 333.4mn barrels in the cited period.

Recently, the country's export of oil products reached 488.1mn barrels at the end of last year, up 2.3 percent from 477.4mn barrels a year ago.
