(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Feb 8 (KUNA) -- The battle space in Syria is becoming "more complicated" between Russia and the US, specifically around Al Bab where the forces are converging, the Pentagon revealed Wednesday.
Russia and the US talk "on a very regular basis" about the ongoing operations to "make sure that we're not striking them, not having any inadvertent events with their aircraft, and neither of us are stroking the others partner forces," said Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) spokesperson John Dorrian to reporters.
The Pentagon later held a video conference with officials from the Russian Ministry of Defense to discuss the "ongoing work regarding the safety of operations since the two sides last met," a separate Defense Department statement said.
"The two sides reiterated the utility of adhering to the memorandum of understanding to avoid accidents and misunderstandings in the air space over Syria," it added. (end) ak.ibi
