Construction sector in Germany grows

(MENAFN) The German construction sector achieved its highest profits since 2000 last year and new orders were at their strongest level since 1996.

Meanwhile, long interest rates, a strong labor market and a lack of other investments have made a construction boom, particularly in home building.

In addition, revenues for firms with at least 20 workers increased by 7.4 percent to almost USD76.27bn, the sixth consecutive increase.

On the other hand, construction industry associations predict sales to increase by 5 percent this year to hit the highest level since 1995.
