The 14th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) opens today at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) featuring more than 400 brands showcased by 40 exhibitors from 10 countries.
With the theme ‘Once upon a time… luxury', the exhibition, which runs until Saturday, will display exclusive collections of gemstones, jewellery and finest timepieces. The six-day show has a number of new features for the jewellery and watch enthusiasts. For the first time in the show, world-renowned clock-experts Objectif Horlogerie from Paris are holding hands-on watch-making workshops for watch enthusiasts.
Alongside heritage brands on show and next to the unique Central Exhibition featuring rare, privately-owned pieces, this year's exhibition introduces a new initiative showcasing collections from emerging local talent, ‘Young Qatari Designers'.
Another feature of the expo is the Harcourt Studio offering complimentary glamourous blackand white portraits of DJWE visitors, in the privacy of their on-site photo studio.
The exhibition welcomes some of the country's premier jewellery patrons including Al Fardan Jewellery Company, Al Majed Jewellery, Al Muftah Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali group, Amiri Gems, Blue Salon and Fifty One East.
DJWE 2017 is organized by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and delivered by Auditoire. Visitors may register either at DECC or online at www.djwe.qa. Entrance is free of charge and is reserved to visitors above 12 years old.
