Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) after opening the Turkish School in Doha, Professor Kalin praised the continued communication and consultation between HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the President Erdogan, noting that the visit aims to review the distinct bilateral relations in political, economic, trade and tourism areas, along with other key regional issues of mutual concern such as the situation in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, and other international issues.
The Turkish official also highlighted the high-level visits between the two countries, and noted that the coming period will witness further co-operation and co-ordination in all fields.
He said that opening the Turkish School in Doha will contribute to further promoting the Qatari-Turkish relations in all areas, mainly in the educational and cultural fields.
For his part, Principal of the Turkish School Mehmet Ali said in a statement to QNA that the first Turkish School in Qatar includes the primary, preparatory and secondary stages, and currently has 50 students and 17 teachers.
In addition to the Turkish curriculum, the school provides the Qatari history, Arabic and Islamic studies, he noted, hailing the support and assistance provided by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the opening of school, which in turn will contribute to organising a number of cultural and scientific activities in Qatar.
