Inspired by Oman Art Exhibition features works of eight artists


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Crowne Plaza Muscat, in collaboration with the Department of Heritage and Culture in North Batinah governorate, is holding the 'Inspired by Oman Art Exhibition'.

Eight artists are featuring their works at the exhibition which began on Wednesday. It will end on March 8.

The artists taking part are, Zainab al Ajmi, Mariam al Mammary, Noora al Balushi, Bushra al Zuhaimi, Ghalib al Abdul Sallam, Khalid al Roshdi, Laila al Jahwari and Mohammed al Balushi.

Zainab said, 'Four of my paintings are here. One is titled the Eiffel Tower. This is a good opportunity for us to exchange experiences and also showcase our work to the public.'

Youth artists need to be given the financial and moral support to continue their creative work, he added.

Sallam is a fine artist at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture. A graduate from the Scientific College of Design with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, he has presented several training workshops and has made significant contributions within various professional and community organisations. Many of his works are in the field of contemporary art. "Here, I'm featuring four paintings of Arabian horses. For my paintings I adopted the style of expressionism.'
