(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The number of commercial and industrial applications received in the Governorate of South Batinah from January 1 till December 31 last year stood at 20,207. Hamad bin Salim al Shukaili, Director of Commerce and Industry Department in the Governorate of South Batinah said that the number of applications for commercial registrations in all categories was 5,014.
These included new registration, renewed and cancelled ones. These fall under categories such as individual trader, partnership company, limited partnership, limited liability company and investment companies.
He added that the other applications related to commercial registration under various categories stood at 15,051. The Director of Commerce and Industry Department in the Governorate of South Batinah said that the number of industrial applications registered in 2016 was 142. Shukaili said that applications related to intellectual property and trademarks stood at 51.
