Major tech firms protest Trump immigration order

(MENAFN) Google, Apple and other tech giants protested against Trump's order for immigration, which bars national of seven Muslim-majority nations from entering the U.S.

Moreover, the U.S. industry relies on global engineers and other technical experts for a sizeable percentage of its workforce.

However, the order bars entry to the U.S. for anyone from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for 90 days.

In addition, the move intended to prevent extremists from carrying out attacks in the country, could now heighten tensions between Trump administration and one of its most important industries.
