Kuwaiti society offers more aid to displaced Iraqis


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Society for Relief provided amounts of medical supplies and medications to a host of Iraqi health centers offering services to displaced Iraqis, as part of the "Kuwait beside you" campaign.

The medical aid has been already distributed on the health directorates in the provinces of Salah-Eddin and Al-Anbar, then will be extended to Nineveh, the United Iraqi Medical Society (UIMS), the local partnership of the Kuwaiti Society for Relief, said Monday.

Aid has also been presented to the UIMS-affiliated clinics.

Medications were offered for various diseases, mainly chronic ones, UIMS chairmen Ahmad Mushraf told KUNA Monday.

The distribution started in Al-Anbar on December 31 2016, then in Salah-Eddin on January 10, he added. On Tuesday, the aid will be offered to Nineveh.

The State of Kuwait has recently opened two fully-equipped health centers in two caps for the displaced in Nineveh. (end) ahh.msa
