KUWAIT, 23rd January, 2017 (WAM) -- Menahi Al-Enezi, Acting Deputy CEO for Administrative and Financial affairs at the Kuwait Oil Company, KOC, and the official spokesman for the company, today announced the containment of the oil spill that occurred last night in the south of Kuwait.
According to the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, Al-Enezi, said, "KOC teams managed to stop the leak, and the work is underway to secure the oil well where the leak occurred, following the health and safety, security and environmental regulations to ensure the safety and health of citizens."
Mr. Al-Enezi added that no reading of toxic gases had been detected.
