KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The 13th Horseracing Tournament of Farwaniya Equestrian Club was held on Friday, Jan 20 on Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Racetracks under the patronage of the businessman Ali Al-Shalahi.
In the fifth round of 1,000-meter race for Class 1 horses, the horse Sofian from Al-Qeni Stable came first within 2:02:93 minutes followed by the horse Ezz Nasser from Al-Zamai Stable in second place.
In the fourth round of the 2,000-meter race for Class 2 horses, the horse Mehaya Al-Khair from Awad Al-Khedr Stable came first by completing the race in 2:14:62 minutes. The horse Mubtasem from Al-Bathal Stable came second and the horse Rajwan from Al-Khedr Stable came third.
In the first round of the 1,800-meter race for Class 4 horses, the horse Muta'adi from Al-Bathal Stable came first by ending the race in two minutes. The horse Al-Almani from Al-Qeni Stable came second and the horse Al-Wafi from Al-Khaldi & Al-Abdali Stable came third.
In the 1,200-meter race for Class 3 horses, the horse Star from Al-Hajraf & Abu Tamer Stable came first within 1:17:16 minutes, followed by the horse Al-Zanati from Ajab Al-Khedr Stable and the horse Aqdar belonging to Abu Shaibah in second and third places respectively.
In the third round of the 1,600-meter race for Class 3 horses, the horse Miraj from Al-Bathal Stable came first by completing the race in 1:43:72 minutes followed by the horse Daham Al-Khail from Al-Khedr Stable in second place and the horse Qaid Al-Tahrir from Menahi Al-Qeni Stable in third.
At the end of the races, Ali Al-Shalahi and the Board Chairman of Farwaniya Equestrian Club Mubarak Al-Daihani honored the winners.
Al-Shalahi praised the way the tournament was organized, affirming continued support for 'the sport of the ancestors'.
