Cathay Pacific Airways to cut jobs

(MENAFN) Hong Kong's carrier Cathay Pacific Airways will reduce jobs and consider moving some flights to its short-haul arm after finishing the biggest review of its business.

Accordingly, the firm aims to build a faster, leaner and simpler organizational structure, which will be a chance in the way it does things across the firm.

Meanwhile, some jobs will no longer be needed; some will be redefined, whereas other new jobs will need to be created.

Moreover, it would reorganize into seven portfolios: consumer, operational, commercial, people, cargo, finance and strategy and IT to implement major changes by mid-2017.
