(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- A'Saffa Foods recently organised the third edition of the 'A'Saffa Golf Tournament' at the Ghala Golf Club course. H E Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas, was the chief guest and presided over the tournament's presentation ceremony.
Open to golfers throughout the sultanate with a registered handicap, A'Saffa endeavoured to bring together and recognise top quality golf players and increase the awareness of golf through the tournament.
The extremely talented Julian Chong with an impressive nett score of 44 was declared champion of this year's A'Saffa Golf Tournament that saw an overwhelming participation of over 100 avid golfers. C Das (nett score, 40) was a close first runner-up; Aashwin Chowdhry (nett score, 39) was the second runner-up. The ladies division was won by Rachael Connor (nett score, 31); the junior division was won by Ayman Busaidi (nett score, 38). Dr Nasser al Maawali, CEO, A'Saffa Foods, said, 'The A'Saffa Golf Tournament is our mainstay sporting event, promoting healthy choices through the game of golf. Apart from thanking those who participated, I would like to thank Ghala Golf Club for hosting the game at their world-class facility.'
