(MENAFN) Toyota stated that it aims to recall 15.865 imported Lexus vehicles across the Chinese mainland because of the defective airbags.
The Japanese firm said that the recall will touch 4.856 imported Lexus IS250/IS250C vehicles, 9.449 imported Lexus ES240/Es350 cars, and several other types.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine revealed that the problem has been found in the gas generator of the airbags of the affected cars, which may cause safety issues.
On the other hand, the company further announced the recollect of the IS, Es, LFA versions is likely to begin on late June, 2017, while the GX model will start on December.
