(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) CEO Eisa Al Hammadi revealed that the company is planning to start operating the cement silo plant in the first quarter of 2017 at a total cost of QR 445m.
Speaking during a press conference about the company's achievements, Al Hammadi said the plant, which is based in Mesaieed Port, comprises two cranes, two conveyors, 12 concrete silos with a storage capacity of 5,000 tonnes per silo with a total capacity of 60,000 tonnes. The project aims to fill the gap in supply and ensure the availability of cement and other cement materials in a sustainable manner for current and future projects as well as support the private sector and the 2022 World Cup projects.
