(MENAFN Editorial) Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah concluded its second training programme “I’m in 2020”, which was organized in collaboration with a number of government entities from Sharjah City, Kalba and Khorfakkan. The training programme was held in two phases: from 25th to 29th of December 2016 and from 2nd to 5th of January 2017.
Built on the success of the first edition, the second “I’m in 2020” training programme aimed to give the young ladies the opportunity to engage in a professional experience, helping them to identity their future career paths. Young participants had the opportunity to learn about the work practices in government departments and become familiar with the duties and responsibilities of employees in different workplaces. In addition to this, they were able to broaden their knowledge and practical skills and learn how to effectively communicate with the public.
Sheikha Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi, Director of Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, said: “The second edition of the innovative training programme “I’m in 2020” is in line with the vision of Wife of His Highness Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Shaikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, to guide young ladies to determine their future career paths by providing them with training in different workplaces in the Emirate of Sharjah. This programme helps develop their skills and improve their life experience in order to face future challenges. She extended her thanks to Her Highness for the continued support to Sajaya with the ultimate goal of developing the young Emirati ladies, nurturing their talents and capabilities and empowering them to advance and contribute to public life.”
She continued: “Through such programmes we aim to develop the personal nd professional abilities and nurture the national talents, in line with the national strategy which aims to empower young Emirati ladies, build their capabilities and promote their role and contribution in all domains. In addition, we intend to help them to discover different workplaces in UAE and learn a wide variety of skills which will help them in securing suitable jobs in the future and in delivering excellent performances in their chosen careers.”
Sheikha Aisha Al Qasimi said: “We have been able to make a positive impact through the second edition of the programme. We are always striving, through our various initiatives and programmes, to contribute to the UAE Vision 2021 and to build a generation of young, creative Emirati ladies who are able to maintain the achievements of the nation in different domains.”
She extended thanks to all of the participating organizations for their outstanding efforts in supporting, nurturing and empowering and training the young ladies.
The training programme provided the young ladies with practical experiences which underscore the importance of the diverse programmes organized by Sajaya. These experiences will serve to enhance their awareness and behavior, and will give them vital cognitive and intellectual benefits.
The young ladies were trained at various administrative, technical, media, IT and community departments, in a number of government entities and organizations in Sharjah, Kalba and Khorfakkan.
The participating young ladies learned about various work environments and performed specific functional tasks to develop their abilities and help them to select their future career. The programme prepares young Emirati ladies to become leaders who contribute to the development of their society and nation.
