Kerry to attend Middle East Peace Conference in Paris

(MENAFN) John Kerry, US Secretary of State, plans to attend a Middle East peace conference in Paris, in order to dismay an already angry Israel.

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not attend the meeting with fears the meeting will deepen his diplomatic isolation.

The talks will underline global support for a two-state peace deal, just weeks after the vote of UN Security Council to condemn Israeli settlement building.

In general, around 70 countries will attend for the conference and they are expected to throw their weight behind calls for a halt to settlement building and a negotiated peace.
