UAE to spend USD163bn for its Energy Strategy 2050


(MENAFN) The UAE proclaimed its Energy Strategy 2050, which plans to invest USD163bn aiming energy mix that combines renewable nuclear sources to achieve its economic needs.

Moreover, the plan also aims to increase the contribution of clean energy in the total energy mix to 50 percent, which will save USD190.5bn by 2050.

Accordingly, the new strategy takes into consideration an expected annual increase of 6 percent and efforts to increase the contribution of clean energy from 25pct to 50pct by 2050.

In addition, drafting the first unified energy plan in the country based on supply and demand is a notable achievement of the government.
