Qatar Charity to distribute food baskets to famine victims in Yemen

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Charity (QC) has completed preparations for distributing basic food aid to 700 families living in poverty, marginalised groups and war-affected civilians in Ibb city, central Yemen.
The deteriorating living and health conditions resulting from the five-year conflict, high poverty rates among about 12,000 families, high numbers of internally displaced persons, unemployment, high numbers of orphans, widows, and sick children are strong grounds that led QC to quickly respond to disaster and relief appeal launched by local authorities of Ibb governorate, said a press release.
